​RXILIENT MEDICAL ENTERING INTO AN EXCLUSIVE LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH DELOVA BIOTECH FOR QP001 (meloxicam injection)

Rxilient Medical and Delova Biotech have entered into an exclusive licensing for the commercialization of QP001, a novel long-acting meloxicam injection for post-operative pain management. QP001 has already been approved and marketed in the United States under the brand name Qamzova, and in China as 普坦宁® (Putanning).

QP001 is a long-acting NSAID injection of once-daily dosage, of which the analgesia effect can be maintained over 24 hours after a single injection. Two Phase III pivotal clinical studies showed that QP001 provides sustained analgesia for at least 24 hours following a single injection; and showed that compared to placebo, QP001 significantly reduced opioid use by 56.3% on average in subjects after orthopaedic surgery and 46.0% on average after abdominal surgery.

Under the agreement, Delova Biotech has granted Rxilient Medical an exclusive license to commercialize QP001in selected territories of Southeast Asia, Oceania, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Caribbean, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Canada; where Rxilient Medical will assume sole rights for regulatory, medical affairs and commercialization activities.
