Product Description
LumeBlue is used in adult patients undergoing screening or surveillance colonoscopy to improve the detection of colorectal lesions, thereby aiding in early diagnosis and treatment.
LumeBlue is available as prolonged-release tablets. Each tablet contains 25 mg of methylthioninium chloride (methylene blue) and is coated with a gastro-resistant film. Methylthioninium chloride works by entering cells in the colon and temporarily staining the lining. This staining helps to highlight abnormalities, such as adenomas or carcinomas, making them more visible during colonoscopy.
