Primary duties and responsibilities
- Directly report to local GM and be responsible for strategic planning, market analysis, product launch, brand development, and collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve sales objectives and maximize market penetration.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for product growth and expansion within the local market.
- Conduct product forecasting and contribute to the development of the new product pipeline strategy.
- Lead pre-launch and launch strategies for new products, ensuring timely and successful market entry.
- Collaborate with the commercial team, and principals to develop comprehensive product training plans.
- Formulate brand strategies and market penetration tactics for the product range, while maintaining a strong focus on competitive intelligence.
- Analyze research data, customer feedback, and market trends to ensure product relevance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans and initiatives, regularly assessing and measuring their efficacy and success.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on strategic goals, priorities, and plans for the oncology portfolio.
- Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to build relationships and leverage their expertise for product development and promotion.
- Collaborate with the medical, sales, and training teams to support KOL engagement and ensure effective communication.
- Provide training, product knowledge, and guidance to the local and regional distributors’ field sales team, enabling them to achieve sales targets.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the Company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, business administration, or related discipline). Advanced degree (Pharm.D., MBA, or equivalent) is a plus.
- At least 10 years of experience in product management within the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of successfully launching and growing products. At least 3 years of oncology related experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market, including regulations, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence diverse teams, driving them towards shared goals.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficient in using market research tools, data analysis software, and MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of therapeutic areas relevant to the company’s product portfolio is highly desirable.
