Primary duties and responsibilities

  • Directly report to local Business Manager and be responsible for strategic planning, market analysis, product launch, brand development, and collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve sales objectives and maximize market penetration.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for product growth and expansion within the local market.
  • Conduct product forecasting and contribute to the development of the new product pipeline strategy.
  • Lead pre-launch and launch strategies for new products, ensuring timely and successful market entry.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team, and principals to develop comprehensive product training plans.
  • Formulate brand strategies and market penetration tactics for the product range, while maintaining a strong focus on competitive intelligence.
  • Analyze research data, customer feedback, and market trends to ensure product relevance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans and initiatives, regularly assessing and measuring their efficacy and success.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on strategic goals, priorities, and plans for the product portfolio.
  • Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to build relationships and leverage their expertise for product development and promotion.
  • Collaborate with the clinical, sales, and training teams to support KOL engagement and ensure effective communication.Provide training, product knowledge, and guidance to the local and regional distributors’ field sales team, enabling them to achieve sales targets.
  • Manage product’s inventory at distributor’s warehouses.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the Company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, business administration, or related discipline). Advanced degree (Pharm.D., MBA, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management within the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of successfully launching and growing products.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market, including regulations, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence diverse teams, driving them towards shared goals.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in using market research tools, data analysis software, and MS Office suite.
  •  Knowledge of therapeutic areas relevant to the company’s product portfolio (Ophthalmology, Oncology) is highly desirable.
