Primary duties and responsibilities
- Directly report to the local GM and be responsible for strategic planning, market analysis, product launches, brand development, and stakeholder collaboration to achieve sales targets and maximize market penetration.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for product growth and expansion within the local market.
- Conduct product forecasting and contribute to the development of the new product pipeline strategy.
- Lead pre-launch and launch activities for new products, ensuring timely and successful market entry.
- Collaborate with the commercial team and principals to develop comprehensive product training programs.
- Formulate brand strategies and market penetration tactics, maintaining a strong focus on competitive intelligence.
- Analyze research data, customer feedback, and market trends to ensure product relevance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans, regularly assessing their effectiveness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align strategic goals and priorities for the product portfolio.
- Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to build relationships and leverage their expertise for product development and promotion.
- Collaborate with clinical, sales, and training teams to support KOL engagement and ensure effective communication.
- Provide product training, knowledge, and guidance to local and regional distributors’ sales teams to help achieve sales targets.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, business administration, or a related discipline. An advanced degree (Pharm.D., MBA, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of product management experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of successfully launching and growing products.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market, including regulations, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to influence diverse teams and drive them toward shared objectives.
- Proactive, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in market research tools, data analysis software, and the MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of therapeutic areas relevant to the company’s product portfolio is highly desirable.
