We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Unit Manager to lead business growth and operations in Singapore. Primary duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and implementing business strategies, managing budgets, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, target markets, and potential customers.
- Analyze data and market insights to develop strategies for business growth and expansion.
- Develop comprehensive business strategies and plans to increase revenue and profitability.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics to measure the success of business strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of strategies and achieve business objectives.
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control measures.
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and track performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of business initiatives.
- Lead a team of internal stakeholders, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and professional development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to team members.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, and business partners.

- Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.
- Proactively identify potential risks and challenges to the business and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and adapt business strategies accordingly.
- Implement risk management strategies and ensure the safety and integrity of business operations.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments, including sales, marketing, operations, and research and development, to ensure alignment and synergy across the organization.
- Foster effective communication channels to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Continuously update knowledge on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Implement innovative approaches to enhance the company’s competitive position and drive business growth.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the Company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (at least 10 years) as a Business Unit Manager or in a similar leadership role within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Sound knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, including regulations, competitors, and key stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in financial analysis and budget management.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Fluency in English. Additional language proficiency is a plus.
